    What grades did you get?
    Spanish [B]
    Maths [C]
    Science DA [BB]
    Geography [C]
    Art [A]
    Religious Studies [A]
    ICT [C]
    Graphics [A]
    English Language [B]
    English Literature [C]
    Statistics [C]

What grades were you (seriously!) expecting?
    Spanish [U/C - got a D in my mock]
Maths [U - I missed a lot of the work for it and so found the exam hard]
Science DA [BB - was actually predicted A*A* at the beginning of Year 10, but also missed a lot of work for the subject]
    Geography [C]
    Art [B]
    Religious Studies [B]
ICT [D/E - I left School early so didn't have all my coursework]
    Graphics [B]
    English Language [B]
English Literature [B - bit disapointed with a C, but hey, life goes on]
Statistics [C - did this a year early, was predicted a C and got it - proud!]

Did you get any other achievements today, for example a Top 5, highest in school etc.?
Nah, not bothered though, hated my School.

How happy are you with your results?
    I'm Happy.
Reason: I missed 1/2 of Year 10 and left Year 11 early because of personal problems and I was being bullied, so to have gotten 3A, 4 B and 5 C is truly an achievement for me. At the beginning of Year 10 I'd been predicted A*'s and A's for all my subjects, but then my life got turned upside down and I missed a lot of School, so I think that I can say what I got was good.

Do you have any plans to continue into further education? If so please list subjects:

    Biology - ALevel
    Chemistry - ALevel
    Psychology - ALevel

Not sure about what other one I'm going to take now, probably Art or RS.

What are you plans after further education?
I would like to be a Zoologist and I would like to study Zoology in 2006 at Liverpool University.

Did you get any other achievements today, for example a Top 5, highest in school etc.?
    No

How happy are you with your results?
Unhappy - Okay, so I got better than I was expecting on a lot of the subjects that I took, but I really wanted that A in biology, and I can't understand how I messed it up. It's my best subject, along with art, I'm better at it than maths, and I got an A in that, but only a B. I messed up my English Literature exam, but got an A in that. I was confident I'd done well in biology! I'm completely puzzled...

    Psychology: A-level
    Art: A-level
    Chemistry: A-level

What are you plans after further education?
I'd like to be a forensic scientist, but since I've messed up my bioogy, and I wanted a degree in a biology related subject to do that, I think that dream's gone flying out the window. Shop assistant here I come...

    Any other comments?
Poo. How I managed that I do not know. The grades I was expecting have been reversed completely. And I am REALLY disappointed with my biology mark. And now I've got to go to work...

Probably not. Not that I know of anyway- I just got my results and left.

How happy are you with your results?
    Very happy
Reason: After the exam, I was sure I had failed English Language. Turns out I got an A! Plus, I improved on quite a lot of grades from my mocks. So it's been a good day. Also I am proud of my D in Additional Maths after my E performance in the mocks.

Don't be daft. It might be lower than expected but you may well have been a single mark off that A grade.

A B grade is easily enough to go on to A level and a degree in Biology - especially if you love the subject.

Go onto AS levels and work your arse off and get good AS module marks and no univeristy will care less that you've "only" got a B in biology.

    GSCE RESULTS 2004

    A*AAAABBCCDD

    A* – FRENCH
    A – GERMAN
    A – IT
    A – ENGLISH LANGUAGE
    A – ENGLISH LITERATURE
    B – BIOLOGY
    B – MATHS
    C – CHEMISTRY
    C – PHYSICS
    D – DT (GRAPHICS)
    D – RELIGIOUS STUDIES

    What results were you expecting?
Pretty much what I ended up getting, except I got A* in French and not in German!! I totally cocked up the French Oral, where did that A* come from??

    What will you do now?
Continue at my school's college, and study English, German, French and Biology.

Some questions, even though I have 5 passes A*-A, I still have two Cs, and two Ds (!) How will universities react to this? Can I wave goodbye to any highbrow universities, or will they not necessarily care? I absolutely hated these subjects, I do not wish to retake them!

Also, how many "points" have I got? I don't know how to work it out...

well done especially in French- such a difficult language

If you get very good A-level results, and can show yourself to be an interesting person (not just a fact machine) you'll be fine with the top universities

Random point but a degreee in biochemistry or chemistry is better I think for forensic science.
