The people who make the unofficial mark schemes are students... just like us. If you want one put up so badly, stop complaining and do it yourself.
How's she complaining lmao, she clearly said please

-Chlorophyll was the Green substance and it is used in plants to absorb light energy for photosynthesis

What is Diffusion?

Diffusion is the spreading out of particles from areas of high concentration to areas of low concentration. The bigger the difference in concentration, the faster the rate of diffusion.

For the cell question:
A) was the Cell membrane
B) Cytoplasm

Post the questions, I'll answer them.
What is a fossil?

Why do scientists think X was around before Y?

Explain why Z has evolved from Y.

Give two reasons why species become extinct.

Scientists can't tell why the animals went extinct. Suggest why.

[QUOTE=joeyfrazier;72022900]What is a fossil?
The remains of an organism that died millions of years ago.

Why do scientists think X was around before Y?

Explain why Z has evolved from Y.
No context for these two-I didn't see the paper (I'm a teacher-will only see the paper on Monday). Top Q is probably because picture stem for X started before stem for Y.
Second one probably shows Z branching off from Y.

Give two reasons why species become extinct.
There are half a dozen reasons here: New predator, lack of food, adverse weather (drought, too much rain, too little rain, too windy, too hot, too cold, etc), disease, isolation, famine, ...

Scientists can't tell why the animals went extinct. Suggest why.
How many marks was this Q?
The cause occurred millions of years ago and leaves no traces on the bones.

What is an enzyme?
A biological catalyst that speeds up the ratenof a reaction.

The impact of climate change (global warming) could cause extinction of species
Humans can cause a species to become extinct for example Killing rhino and elephant for their ivory makes it difficult. Shortage of food / increase in predators causes species to become extinct.

A catalyst is a substance which increases the speed of reaction , without being changed or used up within the reaction.

Enzymes are catalyst. All enzymes are proteins and proteins are made up of long chains of amino acids.

Reasons for extinction of species

1) New diseases
2) New Predators
3) Catastrophic event like a volcanic eruption/ collision of astroid
4) Global warming
5) New species developed this is called specification
6) Humans killing whale species /and rhino and elephants for ivory

It's a 2 mark question so the answer for the enzyme one was it is a catalysts and is a protein. This same question came up last year and for putting it is a catalyst which speeds up reaction is only 1 mark
