    i know this seems like a stupid question but how do you get started with writing a personal statement?? its always the hardest bit!

    Leave the opening sentence til last. Plan what you want to say (split it into headings or what ever to help give you structure). Then play with the individual sections until you are happy with them. Put them together then write the beginning so that it gels.

    The first line probably is the hardest but that dosn't stop you writing the first paragraph and coming back to the first line. Most people start with the subject they're interested in and why they want to do it.

    i started listing all the things i wanted to talk about .. sports.. wot sports..?
    any charity work.. relevent work experience... how ur subjects u picked help u wiv ur chosen degree...

    i jjust made loads and loads of paragraphs..
    and now i just have to group them togeva..
