    An Appeal To ALL Rugby Fans and ALL sports fans.

    (I hope that this does not contravene forum regulations).

    Rugby league 'nut' Chris Hawkins is cycling the 210 miles from Griffin Park (London) to Headingley in less than 24 hours on 16th/17th September, arriving before the kick off in the end of season Rhinos vs Broncos Tetley's 2004 Super League clash.

    This effort has taken a lot of organisation, hard work, persuasion and training with plenty more yet to be done.

    They played probably the toughest sport on the planet, and as a result Matt King (Biggleswade RUFC, London Broncos) and Danny Scott (Moldgreen ARLFC) suffered life changing injuries. Both young men are constantly in need of specialist care and equipment costing many thousands of pounds.

    Danny is being treated at Pinderfields hospital in Wakefield, and has miraculously regained a very small amount of movement in his right arm. Matt is being cared for at Stoke Mandeville hospital, and has not yet regained the ability to breathe without the use of a ventilator.

    These two young men and their families need OUR help in meeting their future needs. Let's make this a massive all round effort and guarantee these young men an amount that will make a difference.

    Just Look At The Fantastic Prizes Donated For Danny and Matt And Have A Go Now;

    Conman! This was only ever going to be about rugby - and you know it! The 'sport' bit was purely bait.

    This is actually about two guys lying paralysed in hospital beds as a result of playing the game that they loved.

    Anyone who has played any sport to a decent level will be able to empathise with that .
