I'm in year 12, studying Spanish, History, Psychology and Economics. Part of me wants to do a foundation year and go into Medicine at Manchester, Keele, Cardiff or Dundee. Part of me wants to study a Joint Honors Politics and Spanish, or something along those lines. I love Spanish and I find Politics so so so interesting. However, it stresses me out that they aren't vocational, and I have no idea what I would do with that degree. I would enjoy learning it all but let's just say there is definitely such thing as a pointless degree. Psychiatry has always interested me and I'm passionate about mental health, and I think I would enjoy a job that kept me on my feet like being a Junior Doctor. I like that Medicine is vocational and I'd have a job at the end of it. I'm torn between a degree I'd enjoy more and have nothing to go into afterwards ( I want to have a well-paid job), and between Medicine which is obviously hard work but I'll have a very good job afterwards and can specialize into an area I'm really interested in. Has anybody else been in a situation like this?
Any advice?
