I am totally baffled by this! In the drop-down menu there are so many different specifications to choose from for different subjects. Do you have to put the exact one down for each subject, because for some i only know the exam board and not the exact spec e.g. A or B, modular or not!? For example, for English literature there is:

    English Literature
    English Literature A
    English Literature B
    English Literature New GCSE

I think it's best to have the exact ones down, just to be safe. Luckily I had a school Year 9 options prospectus which stated all the syllabuses.

I'm a bit stumped for the AS-levels though.

Avoid putting the generic title down, it might backfire.

When I did it I put the general one down (i.e. in your case I would have just put 'English Literature'). It seemed to work alright because I made it into a univeristy without any problems.

Your school will have all the info you need when you go back - in any case it has to be done through your school as an on-line application anyway, so I'm sure they'll check!
