what are the advantages and disadvantages of doing an apprenticeship in engineering?
Will their be a cap on how far you can progress without a uni degree in engineering?
What is the most needed engineer?
What type of engineer gets paid the most?

1) Advantages: You get straight into work and getting paid

Disadvantages: You specialise in a specific area so there's not much room to move about, you cannot achieve chartership or experience uni life unless you do a degree later (and then the latter might be a fairly different experience).

2) Yes, if you don't have a degree then you can't become chartered, that will cap your pay somewhat

3&4) Those are fairly loaded questions, you will struggle to get an answer which is correct now let alone once you've finished your degree.

Answering last 2 questions:

Can't tell but they're all in demand. Then one who operates their own small business, can rarely compare engineering type pays but it mostly depends on the company type and what your work is.

As far as I'm aware you can only become an engineering technician right? I do an engineering degree so haven't looked at that level so much.
