Following last week's General Election, Jeremy Corbyn will be answering your questions.

What do you want to ask the Labour leader?

Post your questions below

Dear Mr Corbyn,

You plan to increase min wage to £10 while this is good and will give people more money. However aren't you worried that this may effect medium, small and mico businesses, who won't be able afford this extra cost? These businesses won't be able to keep employing people at this wage and may have to make some people redundant. Since your also putting up corporation tax, this means these businesses will have less retain profits to even cope with this increase in cost. Smaller businesses will struggle with these increase in cost and may even close their business, costing many people their jobs. Employement will eventually go up. How do you do plan to deal with this?

Thanks for deciding to come on The Student Room to answer our questions.

Mr Corbyn,
Would you support another general election?
My mother who is agoraphobic, suffers chronic depression, general anxiety, severe OCD and social anxiety has lost her PIP. What will you do to ensure those suffering mental health conditions will receive PIP or a similar benefit that is essential for their living costs?
Do you feel that Teresa May should resign from her position as Prime Minister following the misjudgment she made in calling this election?
Mr. Corbyn,

Following your stance on student tuition fees, would you be prepared to forgive student loans whose courses started from September 2017 onwards if you were elected in a second election this year, or early next year?
Mr Corbyn,
Are not afraid that increasing corporate tax may drive businesses away and as a consequence reduce the number of jobs?

Big up Jezza the only MP who is for the people
As a student who is looking to go to uni next year the huge debt that is awaiting me is one reason that has me not wanting to go to uni so i would like to know how would you fund uni if fees were removed ?
Thank you
Dear Jeremy,

I am a aware that you plan on increasing government expenditure and increasing tax rates to fund this. Would this not just encourage people to avoid paying taxes by finding? Whilst it is true that you stated that you would be taking action to tackle tax avoidance, is it something that can easily be tackled, especially when there are people who specialise in this? Whilst it is admirable to have such high goals do you not think that the goals set out in your manifesto was over ambitious?

There also seems to have a fair amount of MPs within your party who do not agree with your ideas and may very well rebel against your policies in parliament. Do you think you will be able to deal with this, and if do how?

The media had portrayed you in a relatively negative way compared to other politicians. Why do you think this is and do you intend on doing anything about it?

Thank you

Dear Mr Jezza Corbyn,

It is evident how well your positive campaigning turned out, but for next election, when May will inevitably screw up. Will this campaign follow your well sought out positive campaigning or will you be more negative and resolutely anti-Tory?

Also, I am endeavouring to go Uni soon and whilst I'm all for free tuition, surely a reduced tuition would be better as you would still pay less but also have less drop-out rates from students who just go the Uni for the kicks, turning it into the typical American college image?

Why do you have many connections with known anti-Semites and even holocaust deniers, which haven't been investigated by most media sites?

Why do you believe that people who are talented and work hard should have to give away a significant proportion of their earnings?

Why did your chief policy maker once say during the 2011 riots that 'he enjoyed seeing the police penned in and scared'?

Thanks Jeremy
Mr corbyn, in the past you have been committed to increasing female representation in parliament which I greatly appreciate.
Will you commit to having a 50/50 gender split in your cabinet?
Though they have many unfavorable implications, zero hour contracts remain a quick and easy way for young people to make money. Many students rely on these to earn enough for them to live on.

What alternative do you propose for these young people if you abolish zero hour contracts?

P.S I voted for you and I believe in you.

To Corbyn,
1. You said you'll legalise cannabis, does that mean you will legalise other psychedelics such as mushrooms, LSD and MDMA?
2. Can you please give a detailed and structured response on how you plan to abolish tuition fees?
3. How do we know that you'll stick to your word?

Does socialism stand a chance in the USA and the increasingly capitalist UK?

Also, what will the uk government look like until the next election and do you think there will be attempts to reduce the influence and popularity of the labour party?

Dear Mr Corbyn. Congratulations on the Election result. I'm happy to say I voted Labour. My question is as follows
Will you really abolish Tuition fees if you become PM one day. I just find it hard to believe considering they are almost £10,000 and projected to reach £12,000 by 2025. It seems like alot of money to take out of the equation.
Also maybe it just me but the Universities especially The russel group seem to be raising their grade entry requiremnts awfully high. I mean in 2012 you could do accounting and Finance at Warwick University with ABB today they are asking for AAA and will raise it to A*AA next year. This is the same situation with so many Universities and Degrees. Grade entry requirments have become subject to inflation. At this Rate with high Entry requirements and High Tuition fees, the less fortunate in Society will miss out on University Education, when they could infact have lots of Untapped Potantial. Can anything be done regarding these two issues. Its becoming increasingly difficult for youngsters like me to get a fair start in life. PS i come from a family who requires social Housing but there doesnt seen to be any chance of being granted social housing because the lists are super long and there is a housing shortage. Will you build more social homes? This Conservative Govermment has truely made life more difficult for the poorer in society.
These are truely issues that affect my student and Family life and i would really appreciate if you could answer my questions.
Keep up the good work.
