off limits?

so i think i like this guy, problem is he went out with a good friend of mine for a while but this was a few years ago and i aso had a thing with his brother but again this was a long time ago and was nothing serious, so do you think hes off limits even if my friend and the brother are ok with it?

I don't see the problem if he's single. It's like a mate of mine has a gf I've always liked and always liked me. I would never dream of trying anything with her whilst she's in a relationship but if she was ever single and lived in the same city, I wouldn't hesitate at all.

Doesn't sound off limits at all, especially if you're looking that far back into the past. If you let history dictate everything you're very unlikely to end up with exactly what you want because you'll just feel too cautious.
