Your statement is incomplete and doesnt make sense. Clarify what you are going on about.

Why are people actually against fox hunting? I don't understand why people are so vehemently opposed to it.

I'd agree with that. As a meat eater, I am comfortable with the fact that animals are dying for my pleasure.

At least the meat is used for food and gaining protein. Fox hunting is purely for pleasure and meat consumption is to stop hunger.

I'm not sure how you think your statement is effective. Always the same with the discuss threads.

mankind's arrogance is unbelievable. How bout we put you in a cage with a lion for a good afternoon laugh over tea and biscuits?

Okay well that isn't really answering my question, but because humans are allowed to infringe upon animals to the extent that we so desire? We are clearly above them and have treated them that way for centuries (pets, circus animals, cosmetic industry, medicinal testing, clothing industry, meat etc. is all part of the development of mankind) so I don't understand why people start crying when something that most would consider a pest is killed for entertainment?

And nice reductio ad absurdum there. This doesn't work with my argument because it involves infringing on the rights/liberty of an individual (myself) and so isn't to do with just animals.
It is not 'arrogant' to recognise that we are superior to animals in many regards, it is basic biology.

Wrong. Fox hunting is wrong because it involves killing for sport and not eating it. Eating meat and hunting for food is not wrong because presumably, you are hungry and do so to survive. Although with humans that idea may see watered down- but it still applies. Ever heard of a tiger killing/ hunting?
