Atoms are tiny particles from which all substances are made from. They consist of protons and neutrons in the nucleus, and electrons surrounding the nucleus.

Molecules are groups of atoms which are chemically bonded together (E.g. Oxygen or Water).

In other words, an atom can be considered as 'singular' (or one particle), and a molecule can be considered as 'plural' (or many particles chemically bonded together).
