thanks i got it. I took X as a junction and solved from there.

They all have the same resistance, which I'll call R.

We have a branch with a resistance of 2R and one with R. For the voltage drop to be the same, the current through X+Y must be half that through Z.

The power dissipated by a resistor is I^2R. Therefore, half the current will be a quarter of the power.
