    Afternoon

Was wondering what people were revising for paper 2 on Tuesday. Hit a wall and not sure exactly where to start. Been over everything generally amongst the two papers (key terms/frameworks) but what are some specifics to look at for paper 2? Also if anyone has any notes or links they can share I'd be most grateful!

    Thanks!!

Hello, I was planning on revising language change (so the theorists for this, ELf, global english, globish), language and gender (all the theorists), language and ethnicity (Creole, MLE), and language and occupation( such as swales etc. although we were told occupation wouldn't come up as a whole essay question)

    hope this helps

Hi, just wondering what type of points you would make in the 40 marker in section B to get into the top band?

Section B, Q4 isn't necessarily about making points though! Remember that it's an opinion article, your goal is to argue a case for something for a non-specialist audience. You need to have an overview of a lot of different theories as well as recent language developments and use this to guide the reader in a cohesive and ENGAGING way. It's not an essay. It's a piece of entertainment.

Also, if question 4 isn't an opinion piece, what could it be and how are we supposed to write them?
