It doesn't matter what other people did.

And what about this?

Thanks for the reply anyway.

Ok so this post is not about SAQ but I got a link from Cambridge in an email asking me to choose my preferred experimental science subjects.

I am having a bit of a problem.

I intend on reading physical science so obviously physics is my first choice. Computer science is my second choice. For my third choice I want to choose Evolution and behaviour but I only did Physics and chemistry at a level and not biology.

On the part 1a for evolution and behaviour web page it stated that no subject is essential but a level biology is highly desirable. Would I get to do it? Does it makes sense? Will it be too hard for me since I didn't do biology at a level?

My fourth choice is material science.

I really dislike chemistry hence I am avoiding it as much as possible. I only did it at a level because my school does not have a wide range of subjects to choose from so it was either chemistry or accounting.

I did biology at gcse and there was a bit of evolution in there and I liked it a lot hence I got the idea that I would like Cambridge's evolution and behaviour.

What do you guys think?

That thread seems more active, so you may be more likely to get a response.

Should i mention that i am self-teaching a subject in the additional information section? Would that help towards my application?

This is a very old thread that I have now closed.

Yes you should tell Cambridge you are self-teaching a subject. It will not disadvantage you and helps give context to your application.

For future questions about the SAQ it's best to ask in the Official Applicants thread where others may have similar questions/answers, or start your own thread.
