Do you have a type and do you stick to it?

Am just curious about whether or not most people have a certain type of person they are attracted to, and how that influences choosing boyfriends and girlfriends.
If you want you can post with your poll choice and give a bit more detail; up to you. Oh and also, by type I mean looks or personality or both.

yes I have a type but deviate wildly sometimes depending on the circumstances. what can I say, people can surprise you.

personality- good sense of humor and outgoing are the only two
looks- same as most other guys on this one Im afraid

I have a type. It doesn't matter really; it's just that the more guys I've liked, the more I've noticed that they have certain similarities!

Also, I do tend to be attracted to guys with certain features more than others. I get really turned off by certain things others wouldn't get turned off by, and might not even notice....all of these things contribute to the "type" I would end up dating.

That said, it's not a checklist. It's not something I need to stick to. The attraction just...happens...or doesn't.

I go for sensitive/emotional guys (obviously not overly), and don't like tough/macho/over-confident guys.

Physically though, I don't have a type - every guy I've ever liked has been completely different physically.

I like guys with dark hair, dark eyes, huggable and who wear glasses, and my last 2 b/fs have been like this
My current guy is blonde, with blue eyes (well eye...one is glass) and no glasses. Huggable but also very muscular..

I guess I pick the last option.

Hanging around someone for so long means you begin to take on the personality of the other person. Then you find things that just seem to be absent from others. =]

I usually fancy caucasion women most, on top of that usually, paler, more 'aryan' women.

Usually go for guys taller than me, with brown hair + eyes that are slim physically. All my bfs except for 1 has been like that. All have had the same personality characteristics, funny, romantic, compassionate, sensitive and the like.

I used to have a typical type. Blonde hair Blue eyes and a tan. But now I'm not sure if I have a type due to not looking for a boyfriend as I have one.

Although I find that I tend to get along with people who are easy to talk to and have a sense of humour.

The blue eyes are a must though!!

I don't have a type. Unless I just haven't found out what it is yet!
If I did then I wouldn't ever decide not to go out with someone just because they didn't 'fit' into my type. I really don't think it would be possible for me to stick to it!

So many men seem to go for that exact type! Whatever happened to gentlemen liking blondes? *sulks beneath trademark blonde hair*

And I do have a type, very definitely. Almost exclusively dark haired men-never fancied blondes or gingers, and not through any prejudice they just don't float my boat. Also I love a certain geekiness to them aswell. Cool popular jocks are quite a turn off.

i have a type but dont always stick to it as this type isnt a good one.... im instantly drawn to over confident 'ladish' guys.... this doesnt always mean i go for them!

looks: goth girls, metaller girls, etc. someone who is more than just a sheep, anyone that stands out and isn't part of the herd. a girl with meat on her bones. skinny girls rarely do it for me.

personality: they should be messed up, i like ze crazies.

that said, i've rarely dated my type so.

Yeah, I do, actually.

Drop dead gorgeous, extremely intelligent, perfectly nice, great sense of humour - so basicly just me I guess. Oh and modest too I suppose :wink:
