So I've applied to study English lit and philosophy at uni but I'm not sure how my exams are going so far ( I'm taking English lit, math and chemistry) and maybe I won't get into uni.
Does anyone have any 1 year course suggestions that I can do if I want to retake? Any recommendations to what I could do in a year that would enhance my chances of uni ?

My first reaction is to say to wait until results day and see what happens. There might be low grade boundaries! Some universities will still take you if you miss your offer by a grade or two if not a lot of people got their grades and they have spaces left. Also, you could try through clearing to get a different university potentially with the same course.

If not, it's a bit difficult this year as we're in the middle of a shift from modular to linear exams so some places may not take 1 year students. I'm doing 1 year politics on AQA and I don't know if that's doable next year as the A2s will be doing the old spec and the ASes will be doing the new one. Same with many courses now I'm afraid.

Speak to your college about what they can offer you (I had a choice of 8 courses this year but it won't likely be that high this year). If not, you might have to just sit another A Level over 2 years.
