    Hi,

I need to get a retail job soon but what's holding me back is the anxiety. The thought of how I will behave around new people. More importantly INTERVIEWS! I just don't know how to you know… not be afraid. I just lack in confidence. I applied for a job once and got rejected and I feel as that has lowered my self-esteem. Any advice would be nice.

I wanted to apply for Tesco, any heads up about the interviews? Work life?

I know exactly what you mean, I get terrible anxiety in an interview situation, to the extent where my sentences are incoherent. I find if you prepare for enough, ie practice answers. And saying those answers out loud, or record yourself whilst giving these answers, helps immensely.
I would recommend having one of your mates give you a practice interview, the kind of mate you would feel embarrassed giving your pre-prepared answers to. It kind of simulated the anxiety you'd feel during an actual interview, and with enough practice, you get over the interview anxiety.
