I have a mental illness for which I take 200mg quetiapine daily and 50mg sertraline daily.

    I also have autism.

At one point in the last few years I was in supported employment. A social work student there kept giving me these compliments based on stuff from my CV, then decided I wasn't very good at taking compliments, so got the pricing gun out (it was a shop) and priced me 99p, saying "What, I've seen your CV, you're good at maths. EHHH".

I've thought about this every day for the last 1/2 year, for some reason. I tell the whole story of meeting her etc in my head, up to the bit where she priced me, and at that point I think in my head "SLAUGHTER TIME! SLAUGHTER THE *****MASHER! FILL HER WITH BULLETS!"

She was going on and on about all her liberal beliefs before pricing me so low, which made it particularly silly.

Tonight I was laughing about the incident because I'm in a good mood, but when I get down it really winds me up and makes me angry.

It would definitely be in your best interests to visit a professional and tell them how you feel. It is good to talk to someone who understands your feelings and emotions. You would then get to the root of the problem, as in find out why you can't seem to let this scene leave your mind. I truly wish the best of luck to you, and I trust you will visit a professional very soon.
