    Hi,

So I haven't applied to university or done a UCAS application as of yet, I am wanting to go to uni starting in September. Would someone be kind enough to explain the process to me please.

    Thanks

To apply via clearing you'll still need a full UCAS application complete with a personal statement and reference - so get in touch with people who might be able to provide you with a reference ASAP (especially if they're teachers or academic staff they might not be around outside term time!)...then apply via UCAS: https://2017.undergrad.apply.ucas.co...nctionName=new

If you apply after 30 June you'll be placed straight into Clearing (so don't need to worry about picking "choices")...but you can only officially apply once you hold your grades. You can contact universities informally about their vacancies before then though. Universities will list vacancies on UCAS Search from 5 July and you can get in touch to find out more about their courses, likely grades that they'll need etc at that point.
