Hello, I am currently very concerned that I am not going to get the grades to go to university. I need ABB (A being in english) but I think that I am going to get a B in English and C (or below) in French. What can I do?
I do not want to resit the year and I want to go to university so I am unsure of my options.

Just go into Clearing on Results Day. Getting into a university is piss easy.

they might let you in, if not then just go through clearing...however if you plan on moving out you might end up with crap accommodation if u go through clearing

There are universities which accept applicants with a variety of academic backgrounds and previous successes (or not). There are courses which take applicants with BBC regularly, and there are quite a few even among the RG and similar which will consider applicants who have been very promising but miss their course by a grade (possibly two but this is normally only where extenuating circumstances apply).

As noted above, there is also always the option to of looking in clearing; often courses may be more flexible with entry requirements. This is particularly true as above, if you've just missed it by one grade and you had good performance and potential alongside that. I would advise to put it out of mind for the time being and focus on any upcoming exams you may have to take yet. Once you get your results, if you missed your offer contact the offering university and discuss it with their admissions staff; they may still take you, or they may offer you a place on another related course. If they do not, you can then look into clearing for courses elsewhere
