Joint honours personal statement

I plan to do econ/pol joint honours, in terms of the personal statement would you give equal weighting and focus on both separately or focus more on how they are connected? I'm guessing the second one but not sure.

Equal weighting and separate is what I've heard, but be REALLY careful if you are not applying JH everywhere.

Just mentioning that as it may affect your PS, but it's great you've seen that you have 5 joint courses.
