Computer Science and Mathematics Preparation RecommendationsWatch
So how rigorous are the courses compared to A levels? What readings would you recommend? Currently, I have to following books on my list
AoPS calc, pre-calc and intermediate counting and probability
A Classical Introduction to Modern Number Theory
Analytic Number Theory
Elements of Set Theory
Basic Real Analysis
Some other algebra and linear algebra books
I am also doing a few olympiad maths books.
Also, is it recommended that I do interns? Internship isn't nearly as popular here as in UK so it would be difficult to find a good place to apply to. But if it's worth it, I am ready to do it.
What other things would you recommend doing?
Lastly, I want to know somethings about the entrance requirements. What are the average GCSE grades? I was ignoring IGCSEs so I expect to achieve 4A* right now. However I am taking more courses so about 7A* in total.
For A levels, my courses require between A*AAA - A*A*A*A. Should I take their word for it and focus on other stuff? Or should I just aim for A*A*A*A*?
