Aqa applied units - advice pls

My brother is taking A level maths and further maths AQA. He does C1 C2 C3 C4 FP1 FP3 FP4 M1 M2 S1 S2 D1. When the units are placed for grading can he have C1-4 and D1 S2 in maths or does it have to be S1 and S2 or M1 and M2? Thanks

i don't think D1 and S2 can go together, I think it has to be S1 and S2, M1 and M2 or any 2 of D1, S1 or M1

I do AQA too and I couldn't remember exactly what my teachers told me but I found this online.
