CAO 2007/08 Admissions in Ireland
Is anyone else/has anyone else started applying through the CAO?
Having completed my UCAS about six weeks ago, I logged on to the CAO website to apply to Trinity College in Dublin last Thursday (Nov 1st - the first date of literature release for 08 entry) to begin my application.
Does anyone else find it a little ridiculous that certificates and results have to be posted to the admissions office within seven days? I found out that my college had destroyed my GCSE certificates (I received no notification that they existed, or that I was supposed to collect them, as did none of my peers, who neither have the certificates) and have to wait until they are re-posted. I sent an email to the CAO explaining that I couldn't, of course, have them posted within the set time of 7 days. No reply as yet.
Does anyone know what happens if they're not received within seven days of applying?

as with all things, i'd assume that in situations such as yours, extensions can be given. wait for tcd to reply, though. all else fails, threaten to sue you college for illegal destruction of property.
