Why do men have to fight?

Just a general wonderment here. Why is it that if a man happens to like you, he will turn into some sort of raging spartan warrior type if another man happens to say, accidentally shove you on the dancefloor or something?
In the past, I actually went out with one of the sweetest guys you could possibly hope to meet. But when some random guy accidentally whacked me he turned a bit mental and informed me he was going to "beat up" random guy (I talked him out of it lol :waggle: ).
My boyfriend as of now used to threaten to beat people up too. Now he is content with a protective arm and a glower at said randoms.
Do men just like fighting?

Maybe it goes back to primitive times where they had to protect their female from other lingering males. I have no idea. I think it's a good thing. Sure it's bad if your bf ends up putting the other guy in hospital but he's only doing it because he likes you so much and wants you all to him self...

It's usually just big talk, most men have words they simply aren't going to back up. If you're able to talk them out of it I doubt it was going to happen anyway.

lol some funny replies. I think alcohol has a lot to do with it - i know I'm really rowdy after a few stellas, but it can be a laugh if a bunch of mates turn on each other after a crazy drinking session! All forgotton in the morning....

Too much testosterone. You know what we should do? Those not reserved for breeding should be castrated. If he was your dog you'd do it. Then they'll calm down.
