most professional piercers work within tattoo parlours.. there will be some in any city, not so much on the 'high street' more down back streets or above shops.. it should be clean and bright inside! if its dark and damp dont go in.

I think it's a little unfair to say I know nothing about it, considering I am talking from my own experience as well as from those of my friends and family. I think it's great that you have your own opinions, but there's no reason to belittle mine.


However, mine isn't an opinion, it's pretty much fact ;D I really didn't mean to make you feel stupid or belittle you, just wanted to make it clear that plated jewellery is one of the worst things for a fresh piercing. No reputable piercer would use it.


And to Andy, some piercing studios are for only piercing, some are also tattoo studios. The one I go to is purely for piercings and modification, no tattoos. In London, check out Chioko and Eclipse (both around Camden I think) - neither are perfect, but they should be fine for lobe piercing. As far as I know, they don't use guns.

Ear lobe piercings dont hurt that much. Its fine really
