Hey there,

So CCEA have launched a new specification I have got caught in the middle of, during the repeat of a new AS Year. In September the new A2 year will begin with the usual prose, drama and poetry modules. However there is a new piece of coursework to hand in.

It is described as a 2,500 word essay depicting a comparison between two novels; one must be pre-2000 and the other post-2000.
My school aims to have the coursework completed as a first draft by September and with it nearly July I was advised by my head of English to do Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë contrasted with Life After Life by Kate Atkinson.

With my post-it notes and highlighters ready to go, how are you guys planning on starting this? Have any other schools set rules and has anybody else started their preparation? If so how are you guys doing it and what should I be aiming for?

Thanks!
