I know i want to do my extended project qualification somewhere in the area of psychology and mental health, however im not quite sure how to chose an area which is open enough that ill be able to access research for it, but not too general either.
i was going to do something like investigating how societies approach to gender has an impact on adolescents (or on trans adolescents) but im not sure?
could someone help please?

Hi - I did my EPQ about the nature/nurture debate of addiction and here are some things I was told:
- It cannot be on anything you are learning about in your courses at school. I wanted to do mine on the nature/nurture debate of criminal behaviour, but because we studied that I changed it to addiction.
- It should be a debate, not a yes or no question. So your idea is good, because your question could me "How do society's views about gender affect the mental health of adolescents, in particular transgender adolescents?" This will allow you to have a broad discussion and come to a good conclusion with lots of research
- Have an even argument, so pick a topic you can comfortably argue both sides for
