I passed 3/5, just missed the fourth but didn't do well in the fifth the first time around. If you repeat the year for the failed units then do you pay for the whole year (£9,000) or only for the credits you're re-attempting? I've had trouble finding information about this

I'm not sure how your university works, but if you fail one or two modules then you apply to re-sit those modules over the summer, whether its re-doing an assignment or re-doing an exam. You only pay for the modules you're resisting.

If you've failed too many modules to do summer re-sits, then in most circumstances you have to re-sit the whole year and do all the modules again, which means paying the whole £9000.

Your university should have sent you an email about registering for re-sits? Drop the university an email if you can't find anything online. But first, type in the name of your university, and type in 'resits' after it.

Good luck!

It depends what your uni's regs are. Your Student Finance will depend on what your uni reports to them. If you only retake two modules you may be considered part-time, in which case you would get the Tuition Fee Loan for the units you retake, but no Maintenance Loan.

I see, i've had it confirmed by the department that I don't need to retake the units I passed, only the failed units. The university haven't advised me on much yet

Thanks for the replies
