Go to work and dose up on the products available :p:

If you really are sick surely they understand that you are unable to work.

Yesterday i tried 'dosing up on products available but it did nothing for me' - such is life.

Would you work or not?

I've had tonsilitis three times this year due to work and college pressure adn I have never had it b4. They made me work each time. I worked with food and you work in a chemist, they are both really silly situations to go when other people can catch it through air droplets in the air. Have u got any medication for it? I have had pennicillin each time and when the pain is really bad they can prescribe different sorts of painkillers(but u probs know that:p: ) I have quit work since then due to the amount of times i have been ill:frown: but if you really are ill then you shouldnt have to go in, especially if its going to effect your work(e.g communication) However if you really feel like you should then as soon as you start talking peopel will realise and understand. You could write it down? Lol.
It's your decision anyway.
Goodluck.
Soz about the essay:rolleyes:

You've taught me something - 'through air droplets' I never knew this.

I'm taking ibuprofen, benzocaine throat spray and going to doc's this afternoon, hopefully he'll give me sum antibiotics -penicillin.

I am similar to you in the sense that I had never had it before up til a year ago and this is the 3rd time.

Do you think stress can exacerbate the situation?

Definitly!!They say that apparently the nervous system reacts as though there was an immediate physical threat when you become stressed.
It causes a rise in blood pressure, thickening of the blood narrowing of the field of vision, a rise in heart rate, release of adrenalin, nor-adrenalin and cortisol into the bloodstream, the slowing or emptying of the digestive system, tensing of the muscle and the list goes on:frown: And when stress is ongoing and these things happen a lot in can make you really ill. Lack of sleep also makes it worse.:s-smilie:

Life......argh. Hope you get better soon.
My doctor said that if i get it again and frequently then i should really have my tonsils out. Really scary!!!
