writing a speech for my english assesment

It would help to specify your study level - I presume it's GCSE because of the topic.

A few tips:

1. First recap everything you've studied this year on speeches - the different language techniques etc and apply ones you think are most appropriate - they will be looking for high quality and a reasonable variety, but don't overdo it and spam techniques or use complicated words - it won't flow well, which a good speech needs to do.

2. Think about your topic and write some notes or a spider diagram on what you can say. Do you want to talk based on a news story about bullying, or some research, or why people bully? Etc. This is where you can throw in anecdotes or statistics for a few marks.

3. Google speeches and see what they do that you like. Obama is a good example.
