    Hi all.

I am starting Uni in September but need parking for my job which i plan to continue doing to help support my way through Uni.
I will be contacting the Council and have seen some information about long stay car park parking, away from my accommodation but my part time role covers a lot of Kent and i dont fancy the 20 minute walk at midnight with a lot of sports kit and the £400 price tag a term.
I would rather not drive but my course and job will i hope one day go together and the minimal but welcome income in the next few years will massively help.

If anyone knows of a driveway, garage or space for rent it would be greatly appreciated.

Like any city centre uni the parking is a total nightmare. There is free parking on Spring Lane near the uni (assuming you are in Canterbury) and some areas of the Barton Estate. The Barton parking is about 20 minute walk away, Spring Lane is 5 minutes. Both fill up by 0815 or so.

Parking on North Holmes Road is expensive and limited to 2 hours.

If you can leave your car for a few days at a time then dump it out of town in Sturry, Bridge or off Wincheap and get the bus to it when you need it.
