David Blaine

Have you heard about David's Blaine's new trick? He's being encased in a small glass block held above the Thames with no food, and only one tube going in to give him water and the other to allow him to relieve himself. I was wondering, how do we know that's water they're giving him, could just be some liquid containing all the nutrients required from food. Also, how do you reckon he is able to 'levitate' a few cm off the ground?

David blaine is so cool!! hehehe. I think the life-risking things are a bit silly though...his magic is so much better. As for the levitation, me and my brother had a very good theory once.

I've always wanted to have a pee whilst suspended above the Thames.

Won't he get DVT being stuck there for so long? Or will he have to lie and do those exercises they tell you to do on planes!?!

If he's standing up he won't get DVT.

I don't actually know if he's standing or sitting.

He stood on one of the capsules of that big wheel thingy as a 'practice'. But he had a harness.

This is a TV trick. (it was explained by the 'masked magician' once on Sky1). First he lifts himself lifting both heels a few cm off the ground, but keeping his right foot on the ground (if his audience are looking at his left side). They can't see his right foot, so are awed and amazed in front of the cameras. Then he goes into a studio, and gets a fake audience wearing the same clothes as the real audience, and is put into a harness, and is lifted up, with the cameras only pointing at his lower body, and from behind the audience, so it looks like he is levitating a lot.

I think he's gonna die in this one. I don't think it's possible.

Talking of dying, Derran Brown's Russian Roulette lokks like it's gonna be good viewing. I was thinking of applying.
