41/41, got a bit stuck with 1830-1837 but tried random guesses and ended up getting the right answer of William IV.

This song will help you get most of them!

Surprised I didn't get Victoria.

Anne, Mary and Lady Jane Grey were quite ambiguous as was Stephen (doesn't even sound like a King name).

Pretty much got the rest from adding roman numerals until high heaven, that accounts for well over half of the answers.

Lady Jane Grey is a pretty interesting one, queen for only 9 days!

Will update the leaderboard soon, folks :hat2:

Woo Sporcle! There should be more Sporcle threads on TSR.

I used to be able to name all 194 countries in the world (there are more now) but I couldn't do that now. History is not my area but I'll have to have a go at this one later

I used to make my own Sporcle maths quizzes on the website and I would make them minefield type quizzes so you had to keep doing them again and again to get full marks. That kept bored students occupied!

Very easy to get 41/41 by guessing obvious names and knowing LJG. I didn't look at the dates when it started so spent 30 seconds wondering why it wasn't accepting Cnut and Harold :facepalm2:

That being said, I only knew 40/41. I could not for the life of me remember precisely who came after Richard the Lionheart

Screw you John Lackland :hand:

20/41 - I disliked History during secondary school so I didn't bother paying any attention to it. Only knew the Tudors then guessed the rest

Jane Grey is not generally accepted as being a British monarch, and certainly not by the British state. She was the unsuccessful puppet perpetrator of an attempted coup. Counting her is equivalent to counting Gennady Yanayev as a soviet-era Russian president, or Matilda as the first queen of England in 1135.

I got 41/41 in 5m 9s, largely because I am a poor typist and make lots of typos. The exercise is trivial as it does not require you to know the dates.
