something tells me your supposed to brush them harder

i think they bleed because thats areas that havent been brushed properly before maybe??

Reply 3

Mine do too but everytime I go to the dentist he says my gums are fine!

It's probably gum disease - most people have it to some degree - mine's pretty mild. Your best bet is to use a decent mouthwash, but if it's bothering you, consult your dentist.

You might be brushing them too hard. My gums used to bleed because I brushed them too hard.

mine do that sometimes... when i brush my teeth before i go to bed i sometimes wake up with blood on my pillow (stinking i know :frown:) i started flossing again and i thought that started it... waiting on a appointment with the dentist...4 weeks and counting ...not amused

Are you called Murphy?

*ahem* Could it be gingivitis? Until you can get round to seeing a dentist buy a softer toothbrush and use mouthwash.

Go to the dentist and see what they say. Either that or mention it on a routine appointment and they'll probably make a few suggestions.
It might just be a bit of gum disease/sensitive gums. I have that and my dentist always recommends interdental brushes and floss because they remove all the gunk stuck between the teeth and stop the gums getting all horrible.

I wouldnt worry about it too much though, everyone gets a bit of bleeding to an extent.
