Depends if doors and window are open, if candles are burning, air freshener is present etc. I imagine stale smoke in a room without ventiliation will stick around for days.

Depends really.

One how much smoke their is to start with.

What the ventilation is like.

Whehter you use airfreshener or deordoriser spray.

at work I sometimes smoke in the toilet as it takes like 10 mins to get out of the place. theres ventilation and an air freshner and the smell is usually gone in like 10-15 mins

Dredz: You may think the smell has gone but it probably still lingers...

a friend of mine smoked in my car and the smell wouldnt go away for at least 4 bloody days!. I was tempted to use febreeze (apparently that works) so maybe you should use that lol

My boyfriend is getting him mum's car on Sunday and it smells so badly of smoke. :s-smilie:

Thing is his mum pretends to have given up smoking years ago (but obviously just goes out to the car) and whenever I mention the smell to my boyfriend won't listen because that would mean his mum was lying... Which she is!

I get car-sick as it is, let alone with years of fag smoke hanging around as well. May try Febreeze.

Even with windows etc. someone could still come in days afterwards and detect traces of cigarette smoke.

Febreeze is godly. Really, it is.
