Qualified for Student Finance if I have ILR?

I received my ILR (Settlement Status to stay in the UK) in November 2016 and I will be starting Uni in September 2017. I am not sure and worried whether I will recieve student finance as it says "Non-UK nationals must have settled status on the first day of the first academic year of the course."

By your post, it sounds like you should be entitled as long as you have settlement status in place during September 2017. But you should really phone the finance company and ask! :smile:

Hi Rose_264,

As long as you have your ILR (which you said you have) and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for 3 years prior to the start of the first academic year of the course you can apply for funding.
