Utility bill, passport and reference problems. Urgent.

So I've got my interview for Sainsbury's night shift vacancy tomorrow. However, I've run into a few more problems:

* My passport is valid, but damaged (burned in an accident, but only around the edges) so I'm wondering if they'll look at it and turn up their noise

* I haven't got any utility bills, since I get them online. I've only got overdue payment letters =X which is not a good impression to make. The only thing I do have is a rent statement.

* I need two references tomorrow, one personal and one professional, but I have never been employed before, apart from school work experience. And I don't know who I can get personal references from. Let me emphasise that the only people that know me, and the *only* people that know me are my mother and my friends. So I haven't got any "friends of the family" that can do it.

the passport - this is just to prove you are in fact who you say you are so you could also take a driving license (a provisional one counts too) or a copy of your birth certificate. if not, just take your passport and explain what happened to it.

utility bills - could you print a copy of one of your bills from the internet?

references - you can get a previous school teacher, tutor or your head teacher as a reference as long as they actually know who you are and can say you are a good person. haha

The thing is, they need the utility bills for proof of address and such. My online bills is just a list of account balances and reference number. Doesn't have my info at all. Pretty basic.

Yeah, thanks. I really should have had my references ready BEFORE I applied for my job. Now I'm in trouble, since none of my references know that I'm using them. Who can I use for my professional reference, btw? I tried contacting my school work experience, but they forgot who I was and don't have me on record. Lolz.

hmm.. if you don't have any other work experience then i don't really know what else would count as a professional reference. If you can't get one then just explain it to them and they should understand. If you can't get one then you simply can't get one, they can't deny you a job just because of that?

use bank statement instead of utility bill if you can't print it off; or do u do ur banking online too?

Bank statement still goes to my parent's house. I haven't arranged for it to go to my flat yet. Lol, everything's catching up on me =X

it'll take 5 minutes to get your bank statements addressed to your new digs; just do that or have u changed ur address on your drivers license cos that'll do fine too.
