Discrimination of homosexuality V disabilityWatch
Compare the treatment of homosexuality and disability in this text (voices in speech and writing :anthology) with another non fiction or fiction text.
Problem is i cant seem to find another piece of text which asks the question; Do people with a disability get treated different to those who are gay?
Any help locating a piece of writing which speaks of these issues so i can compare it to the text in my work book would be really appreciated.
just disclaimer: i haven't read aaany of the works i'm proposing here, and can't personally vouch for any of them.. i mostly just did some googling
this blog post (https://modernismanddisability.wordp...ity-sexuality/) discusses homosexuality and disability in Ernest Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises, so that might be of interest to you if you're familiar with the novel.
this article (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/karrie...b_8556378.html) talks about an anthology about the intersection of disability and LGBT stuff, and names some poets that could be of interest to you
author kenny fries is both disabled and gay (http://www.lambdaliterary.org/interv...bout-identity/), and from what i understand those are two important influences on his writing so you could look into that if you would like!
i'm not entirely sure what kind of text you were hoping for, but if it's something you could use i'm sure there are plenty of more analytical/academic sociology-based papers on disability and homosexuality, on intersectional activism, or something of the like, that you could also turn up with a search
hope this helps! good luck with your work, and let me know if you could use help with anything more
