Ok so basically i finished my A-levels and got my results last week. I ended up with CCD in Business, ICT and Economics respectively. Not what i was looking for or wanting! I was hoping to get at least BBB to go and do Accountancy at Birmingham Uni. Since my grades aren't good enough, i'v decided i want to retake some of my weaker modules and try to boost them up to around the ABB mark which i really feel is possible if i put the work in.

Another thing i'm hoping to do is take all the modules in January and if all goes well, will have my results in March and will have till September free, so maybe do some travelling or work then. Just wondering if anyone has been in my position before and done the same thing? I didn't want to go through clearing as i would prefer to go to one of the higher ranked uni's.

Basically would like to know, how things such as UCAS applications will work. Will i have to put down my current grades i have achieved, as i feel this may well affect my chances if they see what i got first time round? Anyone been or know someone in a similar situation has come through this? Anything else anyone can advise or help me on, please, would really appreciate this! Thank You! Omar

hmm, my friend did something similar. but he started the the year again once he got his "bad" as-level results. Will you be going back to college and studying? i suggest you just apply again through UCAS and put your predicted grades....(dont you have to reject the grades you have now to do them again?, or maybe that's just when you resit the whole subject)...and wait for march to get your results and that's when you will be able to confirm your place

Yeah i'm going back to my school to do the retakes. About rejecting the grades, apparently there is no restrictions on the number of times you can take a module. One of my teachers told me that you can just take any of the modules you want again without having to do the whole subject again. If all goes well, then in March when i get my resit results i will know whether i have got my place!
