Is there a point in doing all the math's papers? (CIE)Watch this thread
In CIE Maths some papers are optional like statistics and probability or mechanics. Is there a point in doing all the papers so all the pure maths, statistics and mechanic papers? Don't all contribute to one a-level grade?
Two of which are compulsory (pure math 1 and pure math 3)
From the rest, you get to choose from these combinations:
You can either take statistics 1 and mechanics 1
Or statistics 1 and statistics 2
Or mechanics 1 and mechanics 2
So that's a total of 4 papers that you'll take
P.s. There's also pure math 2 (paper 2), which you can also take if you're only planning on doing AS level only and not the full A level as it can't be carried forward to A2
Hope that helps!!
