I use to buy cd's but last year I got into streaming. Tried a number of apps and have come to the conclusion TIDAL is the best.

I used to buy CDs (have tons of them stored up in my attic), but now I primarily use Spotify for all my music needs, it links to our Sonos system so that's a plus.

Edit: Oh, and Shazam to find out the name of a song playing in a room, if I don't know it myself.

I used to use iTunes Match for £24 and just illegally download songs then get a free iTunes version of it with my sub but then my laptop broke so I swtiched to Apple Music.

For exploring music i much prefer Spotify, when i get a new laptop I'm gonna go back to iTunes Match and use Spotify as well.

I also collect vinyls and have a stash of CD's but i dont like CDs anymore, I've ripped them all.

This is what I like about Tidal:
You can crossfade tracks (as far as I know none of the others allow you do that).
When you play a track you get suggested tracks that you can add to your play queue.
When you play a track the album spins like it's a cd.
You can connect to Last.fm within the app and scobble your tracks.

Don't get me wrong I think Spotify is good. It has better playlists and there's more independent artists on it. My biggest issue with it is that it's the only streaming app that kept crashing so it was pointless using it. With streaming, it depends on what you're looking for. If you want to scobble music on Last.fm Spofied and TIDAL are the best for that. If you want great playlists you'll best try Spotify.

YouTube mainly, and I also always listen to music when I'm driving which either comes from YouTube or torrent and goes on a USB stick; or I just listen to a CD.

Mostly Spotify, especially if I'm looking for something specific. However, I do rather enjoy collecting vinyl
