    Doing edexcel c3 work- can you help?

    Can someone explain why 1 over tan (pi over 3 i)s 1 over square root 3 ?
    soz if it that doesn't make sense.

    Firstly, are you happy that \tan(\frac{\pi}{3})=\sqrt{3} ??

    yea? Is this something you need to do in radians?

    Yes, but you can freely change these simple angles into degrees by knowing that \pi^{\text{c}}=180^{\circ}

    If you're happy with the above, then just simply take the reciprocal of both sides. Or divide both sides by \sqrt{3}\tan(\frac{\pi}{3}) - same result.
