Whats the medicine course like? Watch

    I am doing engineering at Leeds
    but have always wondered what would doing medicine would have been like if i hadn't gone down the engineering route.
    Any thoughts...

    Not OP but is medicine comparatively harder or easier than engineering? I know it's heavily subject to personal opinion but I'd appreciate and objective comparison. )

    Its heavily dependent on where you go. Universally a lot of work though.

    Medicine has a higher minimum standard - all courses are AAA or above - but at the top unis entry requirements and average UCAS points are similar.

    Since you specifically asked for an 'objective' comparison, i.e. not just someone posting their vague impressions, i will leave the below document here. Tables 11 and 12 contain a simple survey from 2006-7 on number of hours worked for engineering and medicine at Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial. Medicine is slightly more, but not that much more.
