    Hi all,

I recently completed the Diploma for Veterinary Care Assistants at Level 2. For the last year I have been on student placement in an emergency referrals hospital and also work as a part time auxiliary in a smaller 24hr practice. Through this I have developed a real love for referrals and am interested in pursuing a higher ed route before eventually (hopefully!!) starting VN training.

I've been looking round and at the moment am still undecided between HND/FdSc Animal Management or Bioscience/Applied Biology. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what the merits of each course might be as far as a future in referral nursing and securing a placement goes? I just turned 23 and still have 120 UCAS points from a previous Animal Management certificate + unrelated A-Levels. Any study would have to be part time so that I can stay in practice with my current post.

    Many thanks :~)
