Im aware that Further Maths for Oxford and other traditional PPE courses was seen as over and above the normal Maths requirements but when I gave a look at the new LSE and UCL course pages I notices a huge emphasis on Maths modules. Both Unis expect A* in Maths and LSE even goes the way to mention that Further Maths would be ''a useful preparation'' for the course.

If u compare their new course structure with that of Oxford and other older established PPE courses you will see a noticeable increase in Maths related courses especially in the Economics section . Im considering taking Economics for the full course of PPE no matter the uni hence my emphasis on it.

Currently Im on Eng Lit,History, Maths and Econ but if necessary I could replace Literature with Further Maths (still have 4 months to decide). Im considering both these unis in the future hence would a Further Maths course be a necessity for them? Im also aware that in LSE you have to do all 3 subjects for all the 4 years.
