A really bad one could be disastrous so yes do practise it. A lot is common sense, you have to stick to your guns on what you know to be right regardless of the situation they pose.

Some universities give you points pre interview

E.g.
Band 1- 3 points
Band 2- 2 points

Etc.

Most universities might reject you if you get band 4.

Hi there!

Definitely practice for Situational Judgement! You can see how each medical school uses the UKCAT on our UKCAT Guide.

Generally speaking, most universities will reject candidates with a Band 4 in Situational Judgement - although some do not use the section at all, and some use it as part of your overall score.

Hope this helps!

Hi there!

We have a specific Dentistry section, which might help - and you can find out which dental schools use the UKCAT/BMAT on their websites!

Hope this helps

Yes it does count! You get given a band:

Band 1 -Candidates in Band 1 performed well above average, showing similar judgment in most cases to panel of experts.

Band 2 -Candidates in Band 2 performed above average, showing appropriate judgment for most cases, with many matching model answers.

Band 3 -Candidates in Band 3 performed lower than average, showing appropriate judgement for some questions, but significant differences from ideal responses for others.

Band 4 - Performance of candidates was low, with judgement differing greatly from ideal responses.

Good luck!
