What degree for research work? Watch

    I want to do research, in a lab kinda thing. Making new drugs, discovering new illnesses, studying viruses & infections etc.
    What degree could I do other than medicine?
    (biochemistry, biomedicine, pharmacology)??

    Any science ,engineering or maths degree would probably do.
    People with these degrees have all done interesting research in those areas you have mentioned.

    Karl Deissoroth is an bioengineer who has invented a new technique called optogenetics that is revolutionising neuroscience.

    Fields such as drug delivery involve engineers,simply look at the awards won by this guy who did chemical engineering and now works in the field of drug delivery
