    Hi all, new here.
So I'm doing my NEA very soon and I wanted to do something by Maya Angelou for it, focusing either on canonical texts or postcolonialism.
My problem is that each of her poetry collections is thirty something poems long! Would it be okay to do one of these collections and only talk about a few poems in general (with perhaps a few references to other poems) or should I start looking at alternatives?

I did Maya Angelou's 'Still I Rise' poetry collection and associated it to ideas of post-colonialism, Marxism and feminism (AQA). I just had to use a fair amount of her poems as they're quite short, to link them together to form my overall essay which came out well in the end.
