confused

Anon because friends use this site.

There's this guy who I really like. I told him I like him, but nothing's ever developed. Today we were all sitting in the su bar and a mutual friend decided she was going to find me a boyfriend, and started to list my good points. He came out with "you've missed one thing - she's the perfect girlfriend". I had to go off to a lecture, but the two of them talked and the friend told me later he seems to like me, but doesn't want to admit anything - like he's scared, maybe?

I cooled off my advances before because I figured he didn't like me that way and we we're just friends, but now i'm not so sure. Why would he say something like that, in front of everyone, but then act weird about it?

The feeling I get is that he's not ready for a relationship or just doesn't want one, but yet he's always telling me he's sick of being single! I'm just so confused :s-smilie:

Anyone have any advice? Thanks.

I'm no expert but it sounds like he's a bit nervous about how to approach this subject directly, but is giving you hints as to how he feels. I'd wait until you can speak to him properly in private and just tell him how you feel and see what he says - from what he's done it seems like he feels the same as you as far as I can tell! He called you the perfect girlfriend which is about as good a hint as you can get :wink:

!!! Lol sorry if i'm shouting! No seriously though there's no way we can guess on this type of thing, only person that knows is him.. Maybe text him and just be honest, that your confused. Would it be too much to tell him again you like him, if he doesn't take it further this time, i think he just appreciates you would be a good girlfriend, just not necessarily his!
